摘要: Human blood and tonsil B lymphocytes were fractionated on density gradients tested for virus binding penetration into the cells. Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) transformation was detected by immunofluorescence staining EBV-determined nuclear antigen (EBNA). EBV bound to penetrated all cell populations, but only high populations transformed. Activated found in low fractions these cells resistant infection. Infected noninfected density-analyzed during vitro culture. A spontaneous, not virus-induced, decrease precede production of EBNA. Cells remaining at never expressed The results suggest that can transform small resting a virus-independent activation infected induces EBNA transformation.
