摘要: Shiga toxin (Stx) causes fatal systemic complications. Stx induces apoptosis, but the mechanism of which is unclear. We report that induced rapid reduction short-lived anti-apoptotic proteins followed by activation caspase 9 and progression apoptosis. Proteasome inhibitors prevented proteins, inhibited suggesting a prerequisite for Stx-induced A clinically approved proteasome inhibitor, bortezomib, prolonged survival mice challenged Stx. These results imply inhibition may be novel approach to prevent effects
