摘要: This paper examines the effect of lifelong learning on men's employment and wages. Using data from British Household Panel Survey, a variant mover-stayer model is developed in which hourly wages are either taken stationary distribution (movers) or closely related to wage one year earlier (stayers). Mover-stayer status not observed we therefore using an endogenous switching regression, extended take account non random selection into employment. The estimated by maximum likelihood, generalised residuals correct for possible endogeneity decisions. results show modest effects significant at 10% level men who undertake life-long without upgrading their educational more powerful those do upgrade status.
