摘要: Advances in the field of immunogenetics human leukocyte antigen (HLA) system have changed landscape unrelated hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT). The advent molecular tissue typing methods provided an unprecedented level accuracy characterization class I and II genes much needed tools for querying genetic diversity implications variation on clinical outcome after donor HCT. Clinical application DNA-based registry donors, together with growth international registries, has greatly increased chances that any given patient may identify a suitable benefit from life-saving transplant.
