摘要: Vector-borne diseases are transmitted through arthropods and new associations between them pathogens continually being described. In the present study, authors briefly address their research areas, reporting multiple collaboration studies major findings achieved by CIISA’s Parasitology Parasitic Diseases team its partners over past few years. Starting with Culicoides, importance as vectors of animal/human diseases, description species also modelling disease surveillance is discussed. Studies on national lice in wild birds raise awareness to a so far neglected group, evincing known records contributions towards better knowledge. Tick tick-borne pathogen years have contributed portrait geographic seasonal distribution endemic associations, describing most common public veterinary health threats. this regard, morphology identification strategies enounced molecular markers used considered. Due reported rise prevalence, piroplasms impact particularly focused concern for cattle production industry sector. A overview concerning Theileria Babesia prevalence inferences diagnosis specificities reviewed. Ultimately, Dirofilaria immitis Angiostrongylus vasorum epidemiological update given while treatment options debated.
