摘要: The objectives of this study were to evaluate: Mexican women's knowledge about cervical cancer prevention; psychosocial barriers screening; and the relation both screening behavior. Three hundred eighty-four rural urban women who had achieved a basic or higher educational level surveyed. Almost 80% Pap test but less likely have done so. Although most received their recent within last three years, only 29% first in accordance with official norm. Participants showed inadequate risk factors for cancer, especially level, irrespective residence an area. Factors associated non-screening poor testing as well following barriers: believing that is too embarrassing; men do not want them test; painful. In light these socio-cultural influences, our findings could be helpful designing effective programs increase screening.
