摘要: Despite the extensive genetic analysis of bacteriophage P1, region viral genome that is responsible for its lytic (vegetative) replication has not been identified. In this paper we describe identification various fragments P1 DNA can replicate an otherwise replication-defective lambda vector when they are cloned into vector. The share a 2800 base-pair segment located adjacent to immI phage. Replication mediated by abolished product c1 gene, repressor phage functions. Since these properties resemble those replicon, suggest identified here contains replicon.
