摘要: The Nile delta has come into existence since the last ice age. Its growth was mainly result of deposition sediments carried by old branches River under influence dynamic forces in Mediterranean. At beginning this century, shoreline began to experience erosion several areas especially on two promontories; i.e. around Rosetta and Damietta outlets. This is addition that Burullus area which been occurring 10th century. Erosion increased greatly after construction High Aswan Dam 1964 trapped Nasser Lake. Members Coastal Research Institute (CRl) have studied accretion/erosion phenomena 1971. Their research included examination available maps continuous monitoring about 70 hydrographic profiles a number 80 1980 150 1986. A computer program developed analyze data collected erosion/accretion pattern along delineated. As result, it found for adequate assessment coast can be divided nine physiographic units.
