The future of the self-image of the human being in the Age of Transhumanism, Neurotechnology and Global Transition

摘要: Abstract In the present moment of cultural and political transition, one question seems to become center most other societal civilizational questions: will basic self-perception human being change under influence new “neurotechnologies” its accompanying ideologies like “Human enhancement” “Transhumanism”? And if yes, how? Applied consciousness research is currently one-sidedly understood as brain research, it carried out mainly by Natural Sciences “Economic–Technological Complex” relatively narrow interests. With paradigmatic materialism determining spread temporary findings, already modifying our imaginary about what a is, rational self-determination can be, how “good society” work. What at stake with related findings “consciousness technologies” not only principal socio-philosophical status “self” or “I”, but also concepts humanism, open societies, individualism rationality. Thus, neurotechnologies their “neurophilosophies” are in process profoundly influencing very basics self-understanding, grown over centuries. This article discusses some implications this development within greater picture current “global mindset change”.
