摘要: Swabs were taken for one time study from equipments and different areas at various sections of the hospital investigated prevalence, source spread nosocomial bacteria. Nearly 90 isolates on 31 swabs indicated considerable contamination. Labour room was most contaminated site followed by Dressing Room Operation Theatre. Coagulase negative staphylococci (30) predominant organisms Pseudomonas aeruginosa (24.4) equipments, other inanimate objects surfaces. The indoor air rooms carried Staphylococcus aureus, coagulase (CoNS), micrococci, enterococci, Bacillus spp., members Enterobacteriaceae. A total 78.4 resistant to more than five antibiotics tested. Multiple Antibiotic Resistant (MAR) indices 29 higher 0.2 suggesting their origin a risk contamination where are often used.
