摘要: This paper presents a laboratory study to evaluate the effect of increasing palm-oil content on water-retention properties kaolin clay. The amount palm oil added dry varied up 40% by weight kaolin, at intervals 10%. Two separate experimental techniques thirty independent samples were employed capture over range soil suction (ψ) values; stress-controlled volumetric pressure plate extractor measurements in 101< ψ<103 kPa and chilled-mirror dew-point potentiometer for ψ values 106 kPa. measured data suction-water (ψ−w) relationship mixed (POMK) analysed using van Genuchten model. results this show reduction air-entry water holding capacity with content. discussions draw attention contact angle repellency POMK as key factors dictating retention behavior kaolin.
