摘要: Breast cancers have been increasingly recognized as malignancies displaying frequent inter- and intra-tumor heterogeneity. This heterogeneity is represented by diverse subtypes complexity within tumors, impinges on response to therapy, metastasis, prognosis. Cancer stem cells (CSCs), a subpopulation of cancer endowed with self-renewal differentiation capacity, suggested contribute tumor The CSC concept posits hierarchical organization at the apex which are that drive initiation, progression, recurrence. In breast cancer, CSCs proposed malignant suggesting targeting (BCSCs) may improve treatment efficacy. Currently, several markers reported identify BCSCs. However, there objective variability respect frequency phenotype BCSCs among different cell lines patients, regulatory mechanisms remain unclear. this review, we summarize current literature about diversity BCSC markers, roles in development, We also highlight most recent advances therapies challenges translating knowledge into clinical practice.
