摘要: We show that long-range ferroelectric and incommensurate magnetic order appear simultaneously in a single phase transition Ni3V2O8. The temperature magnetic-field dependence of the spontaneous polarization strong coupling between orders. determine symmetry using Landau theory for continuous transitions, which shows spin structure alone can break spatial inversion leading to order. This phenomenological explains our experimental observation is restricted lie along crystal b axis predicts magnitude should be proportional parameter.
