摘要: Abstract The cleaning (H 2 S removal) and upgrading (CO /CH 4 ratio adjustment for syngas synthesis) of biogas by pressure swing adsorption (PSA) with thermal desorption using two synthetic molecular sieves (5A 13X) a natural zeolite (Clinoptilolite) as adsorbent materials have been studied. Prior to use, zeolites were activated according literature methods supplier recommendations in order dispose adsorbed gases soluble impurities which may compete H CO the active sites zeolites. behaviours compared three basic parameters: selectivity, capacity regenerability. experimental results indicate that Clinoptilolite is best material choice because it simultaneously suitable both purification biogas. For CH /CO /H molar composition 59.95/39.95/0.10, breakthrough at 1 cm/s feeding velocity, 7 bar 25 °C 1.39 mgH S/g Clinoptilolite, twice subjected study. high observed (173.9 mg /g Clinoptilolite) makes adjusting possible. Additionally, completely regenerable stable through several adsorption–desorption cycles which, together its abundance low cost, make this process highly attractive from an economical standpoint. Finally, study demonstrates importance selection optimal activation method offset variable purity often responsible poorer separation performance
