Method to improve preheated and fired strengths of haematite pellets using boron compounds with organic binders

摘要: Organic binders as alternatives to bentonite in iron ore pelletisation have found limited application since they fail give enough mechanical strength preheated and fired pellets. This paper describes the use of alternative for haematite pelletisation. (carboxyl methyl cellulose, corn starch, dextrin) agglomeration aid chemicals (polymer flocculants) boron compounds (colemanite borax pentahydrate) were tested binder alone or combination. The influence compound added organic on pellet strengths was determined. results showed that compressive pellets at 1000°C made with can be improved addition colemanite. 1300°C produced plus colemanite significantly greater than those bonded reference binder.
