摘要: This review highlights the potential of vibrational spectroscopy for investigating molecular structure some polymeric materials used in biomedical applications relation to their biocompatibility. Many types polymers are purposes; depending on application, bioresorbable or non-bioresorbable (semi-crystalline amorphous) used. Among polymers, we focused homopolymers and copolymers based poly(lactic acid), poly(glycolic acid) poly(e-caprolactone). Being a nondestructive technique, Raman proved particularly suitable evaluating crystallinity degradation products. For various applications, non-degradable semi-crystalline have been widely employed; this class concentrated ultra-high weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) orthopaedic implants (total hip knee joints). Vibrational appeared studying oxidation UHMWPE. Copyright © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
