Influence of predation on rodent populations

摘要: Predation on populations of small rodents is reviewed. Various types predators are distinguished; specialists, generalists, residents, and "nomadic" species. Their functional numerical responses to changes in prey density, their influence rodent numbers, discussed. The shape the response curve may be important for dynamics predator-prey system. Generalists with access alternative tend stabilize as do migrating whereas resident specialists destabilizing.
