摘要: Abstract The land classification system called ‘Local Climate Zone’ (LCZ), developed by Stewart and Oke (2012), deals with the physical properties like surface cover structure of city which introduces a logical approach in studying urban heat island. Indian cities are characterized heterogeneous type built forms. primary task mapping LCZ such poses difficulty due to its complex form data insufficiency. This paper aims at resolving issues pertaining identification taking case Nagpur from India. explains various stages involved confronted while delineating LCZs. It integration secondary generate map 1 km, 500 m 250 m. 21 LCZs found including standard 7 types natural LCZ. Additional subclasses were observed as result mixing two or more classes typical features concludes discussion on effectiveness method adopted for preparation maps.
