摘要: This chapter reviews the demographic changes in Asia. Due partly to socioeconomic development, many Asian countries are aging rapidly and will be main driver of global coming decades. is especially true East Asia which includes China, also South-Eastern Some doubling their aged populations within a time span just two decades or so, likely face challenges population before they become economically, technologically, educationally advanced. Demographic bring about family structures functioning, thereby weakening support older persons. Nonetheless, policies region still based on traditional notion self-reliance fail recognize respond sociodemographic changes, risking an enlarging mismatch between needs persons that affects chance well.
