摘要: The development of new therapies for the treatment gram-negative bacterial sepsis has been focus extensive investigation. Molecular and cellular biologic techniques have led to important advances, including (1) identification naturally occurring lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-binding proteins; (2) generation novel LPS-binding antibodies, proteins, peptides; (3) characterization molecular determinants LPS binding. In composite, these advances facilitated comprehension manner in which infection concurrent endotoxemia exert detrimental effects on mammalian host. purpose this review was examine recent information regarding binding initial signal transduction events, lead local systemic cytokine response syndrome. Concurrently, status studies examining various endotoxin antagonists is reviewed. Data from provide an indication potential sites therapeutic intervention as well increasingly detailed understanding mechanism antagonism. Taken together, can be expected further next novel, adjuvant syndrome caused by endotoxemia.
