摘要: The Anglo-American reaction to the Lysenko affair has been treated primarily either from point of view political Right or Left, as a consequence post-WWII international relations. None accounts have considered central role British cytogeneticist and evolutionist C.D. Darlington. This article considers Darlington's role, illustrates how through an analysis his divergent reaction, it becomes possible see response reflection internal scientific debates concerning teh planning, funding, utility, freedom science in post-war Britain.
