摘要: Multimedia systems suggest a wide variety of applications. Table 3.1 summarizes numerous multimedia applications, including used media and implemented functions [LG90, Fur94]. Two important applications already in use, conferencing on-demand services (including interactive television news distribution), are briefly described this chapter. Both use compression techniques, such as MPEG px64.
