摘要: AbstractThe γ-TiAl alloys are promising high temperature materials for aeroengines due to their low density, specific strength and material cost compared with Nickel based superalloys. However, the insufficient ductility at room limited oxidation resistance temperatures above approximately 750°C have applications. Oxidation in application range of 800 1000°C is particular importance. Remarkable improvement environmental by adding ternary quaternary elements has been reported; however, alloying additions frequently deteriorate mechanical properties. Surface modifications or coatings, which promote formation highly protective alumina scales, also viable ways improve TiAl alloys.
