摘要: Abstract GRP78 is a resident protein of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and member glucose regulated (GRP) family. Many secretion incompetent proteins are found in stable association with GRP78 retained ER. Some which destined for transiently associate GRP78. To further increase our understanding role secretion, we have stably overexpressed Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells examined effect on stress response. overexpressing treated tunicamycin or A23187 exhibited reduced induction endogenous GRP94 mRNAs compared to wild-type CHO cells. This suggests that overexpression either alleviates directly involved signaling stress-induced expression GRPs. Transient secreted was used measure efficiency Secretion von Willebrand factor mutant form VIII, two GRP78, by overexpression. In contrast, M-CSF, not detected unaffected. indicates elevated levels may decrease normally These results indicate one function selective retention
