摘要: Baseline data from studies on semi-free ranging, food enhanced populations are important to our investigations of primate behavior, especially as sympatry between human and non-human increases. Currently there few multi-year sets for such groups. Here we report preliminary results a five-year study the population long-tailed macaques (Macaca fascicularis) at Padangtegal, Ubud, Bali, Indonesia. At site three groups totaling 122-204 individuals 1998 2002. We compiled 2378 hours behavioral conducted assessments 46 months demographic data. Activity patterns Macaca fascicularis in this generally similar other M. populations. General activity adult females males population, with engaging more affiliation holding infants, resting solitarily than females. Consumption provisioned foodstuffs made up majority feeding observations. Variable male tenure migration were observed. Infant deaths resulting female infant taking The history suggests that growth may be curbed by epidemics.
