摘要: The present study was conducted to develop a new animal model of neuropathic pain employing injury the distal sciatic nerve branches. Under halothane anesthesia, tibial, sural, and/or common peroneal nerves were injured and behaviors compared among different groups rats. Different types produced levels pain. Rats with tibial sural showed most vigorous mechanical allodynia, cold spontaneous These not relieved by functional sympathectomy using guanethidine. results suggested that nerves, while leaving intact, can be used as this represents sympathetically independent (SIP). is very simple produce profound reliable behaviors. features enable useful tool in elucidating mechanisms pain, especially SIP.
