PERCEPTION TOWARDS MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAM APPROACH IN STROKE REHABILITATION: A QUALITATIVE STUDY

摘要: Objective: To determine perception of rehabilitation professionals working as multidisciplinary team members with stroke patients.Study Design: Qualitative study design.Place and Duration Study: Isra Institute Rehabilitation Sciences (IIRS), University, Islamabad Campus from Nov 2015 to Feb 2016.Material Methods: This qualitative utilized focus group discussion sample six professionals. These included physiotherapist, specialist, nurses, speech language therapist, psychologist occupational therapist minimum two year work experience in team. Two were conducted which audio & video recorded. Data was transcribed thematic analyzed drawn manually. verification done the help separate coders.Results: Attitude professional very much important while developing approach for quality Care. Team skills each member must be evident. Inter interdepartmental communication collaboration is needed approach. Appropriate resources procedures. Skill mix team, Climate Individual personal characteristics, Clear vision, Quality outcome care, Understanding roles, proper communication, respect dignity are key characteristics emerged discussion.Conclusion: Attitude categorized highlighted procedures, discussion.
