摘要: Biomarkers are the measurable characteristics of an individual that may represent risk factors for a disease or outcome, be indicators progression treatment-associated changes. In general, process by which biomarkers, once identified, might translated into clinical practice has received scant attention in recent psychiatric literature. A body work diagnostic development suggests framework evaluating and validating novel but this unfamiliar to translational researchers psychiatry. Therefore, review focuses on steps follow identification putative biomarkers. It first addresses standard approaches characterizing biomarker performance, followed demonstrations how shown have relevance. Finally, it ways biomarker-based test validated application terms efficacy cost-effectiveness.
