Failure of autoregulation and intraventricular haemorrhage in preterm infants

摘要: Changes in mean arterial blood-pressure produced five sick newborn infants by transfusion or exchange of blood products were accompanied striking increases cerebral blood-flow. These imply a failure autoregulation. Four the had fatal intraventricular haemorrhage within 12 h observed change flow. This suggests that increase flow precipitated haemorrhage.
