Development of draft quality-of-governance standards for climate change mitigation and beyond. Groundtruthing of developed verifiers in REDD+ pilot area, Nepal

摘要: Governance has been identified as central aspect of sustainable forest management. While all participants within the policy arena would agree with this observation, it less easy to determine how best evaluate governance. Building on work 1992 UN Statement Forest Principles, and using a hierarchical framework principles, criteria indicators (PC&I), Dr Cadman developed consistent approach evaluating governance at global, regional, national local levels. Tim Tek applied their range global mechanisms, including REDD+, used by sector in developing countries (Nepal) develop on-the-ground standards for REDD+ effectiveness quality.
