摘要: The goal of our work is to characterize the current state Cuba's access wider Internet. This motivated by recent improvements in connectivity island and growing commercial interest following ease restrictions on travel trade with US. In this paper, we profile networks, their connections rest world, routes international traffic going from island. Despite addition ALBA-1 submarine cable, find that round trip times websites hosted off remain very high; pings popular frequently took over 300 ms. We also a high degree path asymmetry to/from Cuba. Specifically, analysis out Cuba typically travels through but, surprisingly, reverse often traverses high-latency satellite links, adding 200 ms times.
