摘要: Concentrations of organochlorines such as PCBs, DDTs, chlordanes (CHLs), HCHs and HCB were determined in the liver common cormorants from two different colonies to understand current status contamination geographical differences. The birds Shinobazu pond, central Tokyo, exhibited significantly higher OC levels than those Lake Biwa. Residue level PCBs was highest followed by DDTs regardless locations growth stages. CHLs also pond adults juveniles, whereas comparable with levels, excluding relatively regurgitated fish Biwa Tokyo Bay fish. inverse relation bioaccumulation between emphasized that both colonies, at least, would have seasonal preferential feeding habits a widely extended area. calculated biomagnification values showed had lowest metabolic capacities, respectively. This study made evident present may not pose serious threat their reproduction. However, contaminant related risk cormorants, if any, could be
