摘要: OBJECTIVE To assess the pressure and flow velocity relations respiratory variability of systemic venous hepatic return in patients with univentricular circulation. PATIENTS 15 selected who had undergone cavopulmonary anastomosis (10) or atriopulmonary (5). Mean age at operation was 55.1 months (range 9 to 145). Studies were done 75.5 (32.6) (mean (SD)) after operation. SETTING Tertiary referral centre. METHODS Patients studied using simultaneous recordings ECG, trace, respirometer pulsed Doppler echocardiography. pulmonary vascular resistance did not differ significantly between two patient groups. RESULTS After total anastomosis, tracings showed a flattened curve without any dependence on cardiac cycle. right atrial higher “a” wave corresponding contraction, variability. Pulsed examination superior inferior caval vein show reverse contraction. The inspiratory expiratory ratio antegrade revealed significant changes intrathoracic intra-atrial tunnel, veins, vein. During expiration, decrease cessation documented. an there biphasic pattern variation. CONCLUSIONS marked return, whereas varied according cycle trace. effects might counteract its other haemodynamic advantages.
