摘要: The lowland flatlands around the city of Bandar-Anzali, at Caspian Sea shore, Guilan province, are an endemic area where Fasciola gigantica appears to be fasciolid species involved and past outbreaks affecting 15,000 people highest human infection rates in Iran have been reported. Fascioliasis transmission that has experimentally analysed for first time, by means assays monomiracidial (Group A: 120 snails) pentamiracidial B: 96 infections local Radix lymnaeid snails with a cattle F. isolate. Ribosomal DNA ITS-2 sequencing proved Lymnaea (Radix) gedrosiana should henceforth considered synonym auricularia, haplotype found Bandar-Anzali being identical many European countries. Survival day 30 postinfection metacercarial productivity (both higher Group A) longevity shedding (higher B), were affected miracidial dose, whereas prepatent period, patent rate, percentages infected non-shedding did not. percentage A (51.0% versus 37.7%) counteracts number metacercariae produced B (243.9 ± 259.2 157.2 153.2). High numbers both experimental groups passed less than 100 cercariae, 16% 35% more 300 metacercariae, while only four (8%) two (10%) shed 500 metacercariae. Most (94.7% 85.1% B) recorded during 15 days period. comparison results from other fasciolid/lymnaeid systems indicates gigantica/R. auricularia system is highly susceptible compatible. Results obtained suggest increased vector populations not polymiracidial snail most probably underlay past. climatic analyses long fascioliasis period covering May end November regarding permanent water bodies, season window widening rice fields irrigation canals, shortening August beginning temporary bodies.
