摘要: The steps taken by the City of Los Angeles to identify sources and control air pollution are chronicled. first were outside burning, which dramatically reduced smoke dust. principal industries affected this step steel factories refineries. Motor vehicles emerged as a major source pollution. These findings resulted in development testing several designs afterburners, among them, catalytic converters.
