摘要: Abstract Ti-6Al-4V, due to its high specific strength and resistance corrosion, is one of the highly useful materials in aerospace, automobile chemical industries. Poor hardness wear properties restrict further applications. So surface modification Ti-6Al-4V necessary enhance tribological properties. Multi-phase multi component coating development present research trends engineering arena. In study it was attempted develop a multi-component by laser cladding process using pre-placed powder mixture containing Ni 5 Al (50 vol%) + h BN (10 B4C (20 SiC on substrate improve performance. A nano-structured formed with micro (780 HV 0.05 ). X-ray diffraction (XRD) identified presence compounds like TiC, BN, TiB 2 , SiC, intermetallics Ni-Ti coating. The behaviour composite assessed ball disc type friction monitor at 10 N load 300 RPM taking track diameter 5 mm. Specific rate coefficient (μ) were found vary from 0.6E-12 2.2E-12 m 3 /N-m 0.15 0.45, respectively, rubbing coated against tungsten carbide ball. microstructure explored Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM).
