摘要: In experiments of capillary rise, oscillations the liquid column can occur, as recently reported for liquids low viscosity (Europhys. Lett. 1997, 39, 533). Here we analyze these (criterion existence, shape, and damping). We start with an ideal fluid which are found to be indefinite parabolic. Then, take into account dissipation at entrance pipe:  it is shown that implies a different equation motion depending on direction (rise or fall). The first rise remains parabolic but dissymmetry between this fall. Finally, classical viscous friction inside pipe incorporated in description accelerate damping.
