摘要: In Bacillus subtilis, chromosome dimers that block complete segregation of sister chromosomes arise in about 15% exponentially growing cells. Two dedicated recombinases, RipX and CodV, catalyze the resolution by site-specific recombination at dif site, which is located close to terminus region on chromosome. We show two DNA translocases B. SftA SpoIIIE, synergistically affect dimer resolution, presumably positioning sites proximity, before or after completion cell division, respectively. Furthermore, we observed both assemble site throughout cycle. The preassembly recombinases probably ensures can occur rapidly within a short time window around division.
