Interaction of nylon 6‐clay surface and mechanical properties of nylon 6‐clay hybrid

摘要: We synthesized nylon 6-clay hybrid materials using four types of clay minerals, montmorillonite, saponite, hectrite, and synthetic mica. The mechanical properties their injection molded specimens were measured according to ASTM. Nylon montmorillonite was superior the other hybrids in properties. This might result from difference interaction between molecules silicates hybrids. To clarify this hypothesis, we intercalated compounds minerals with glycine as model hybrids, analyzed 15N cross polarization magic angle spinning (CP/MAS) NMR spectroscopy. 15N-NMR reveals that positive charge density on nitrogen compound based largest all compounds. It suggested interacted strongly 6 by ionic interaction. one reasons why these had © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
