摘要: Objective To compare the type, frequency, and timing of health care use among commercially insured postpartum nonpostpartum women. Methods This retrospective cohort study used data from a large national commercial claims database. Women between 18 44 years age who gave birth in 2016 (n=149,563) women were neither pregnant nor 2015 2017 (n=2,048,831) (nonpostpartum) included. We examined hospitalization, preventive visits, problem emergency department (ED) visits during early period (less than 21 days after childbirth), (21-60 postpartum), extended (61-365 childbirth). Visits assessed time periods equivalent duration. Results Almost 24% had visit period, compared with 19.7% (adjusted difference 4.8 percentage points [95% CI 4.6-5.0]).
