摘要: Asthma is a chronic lung disease characterized by mucosal and submucosal edema of the bronchi bronchioles, thickening basement membrane, intraluminal mucus plugs, smooth muscle hyperplasia [1]. In recent years our view underlying pathophysiological mechanism involved in asthma has changed with knowledge that inflammation plays pivotal role. Current scientific information supports concept asthma, even mild cases, an inflammatory resulting airway hyperresponsiveness airflow limitation [2]. The increase morbidity mortality great concern light advances have improved understanding provided promising new therapies [3]. This rise occurring despite prescribed therapy, suggesting currently available therapy inadequate or not being used optimally.
