摘要: Calculations have been performed to evaluate the relative effects of extensional and shearing flow fields on both chain elongation crystal nucleation rate enhancement for polyethylene crystallizing from xylene solutions. Rheological behavior was evaluated by means elastic dumbbell model modified nonlinear at high elongations, were considered an essentially phenomenological view point. Molecular weight also incorporated explicitly in computations. Results show that is far greater than flows. Semiquantitative comparisons with experimental results reported literature various aspects induced process, including important fractionation effects, are discussed.
