摘要: With the purpose of standardization an hemoculture technique presenting a higher positive rate in parasitological diagnosis chronic Chagas' disease patients with reactive serology (IFT, HA, CFT) following schedule was used. Thirty ml venous blood collected heparin and plasma separated by centrifugation (2.000 rpm/30'). The packed cells were washed LIT medium or PBS which then removed rpm/15'). This material sampled 6 screw-tubes 18x200 incubated at 28°C. These cultures 28°C examined after 15, 30, 45 60 days. When not immediately processed collection, sediment enriched preserved 4°C. Xenodiagnosis performed according to Schenones method used here as reference technique. Among various groups both techniques best results obtained were: 55.08% ofpositivity for hemocultures against 27.5% forxenodiagnosis (X2 = 4.54, p 0.05), tubepositivity 26.6%. Recommendation screening trials drug assays is repetition on same patient 2 more times different occasions, xenodiagnosis.
