摘要: Abstract The Eagle Plain is an intermontane basin occupying about 9,500 square miles in the northern Yukon Territory. Strata of every geologic period, except Triassic, are present basin; carbonates dominate Upper Cambrian to Middle Devonian succession, while clastics predominate younger rocks. Oil and gas significant quantities have been discovered five 19 wells drilled rocks Carboniferous Permian age, recovery has obtained Lower Cretaceous strata, promising reservoir Ordovician porous dolomite facies. Average thickness Paleozoic Mesozoic sedimentary column 3.6 for a total volume 34,400 cubic sediments. As petroleum province, discoverable oil-in-place herein estimated at 1.9 billion barrels, possible ultimate recoverable oil reserves 570 million barrels; 2.4 trillion feet. How much these speculative resources will be actually proved into function future technology economic factors.
