Thumbnail manipulation using fast and aspect ratio zooming, compressing and scaling

摘要: Disclosed are method and apparatus for the manipulation of thumbnail images as used in image-based browsing file management systems. arrangements whereby zooming out can be performed without a continued need to decompress true image thus providing faster operation. Pixel interpolation and/or replication generate intermediate that display deliver user perception transitory zoom yet sufficient detail maintain orientation.
