摘要: Abstract Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease that affects the human central nervous system and generally leads to permanent neurologic disability in young adults. Pathophysiology of MS contains two distinctive but interrelated interacting arms—inflammatory demyelination neurodegeneration. The massive immune activation pathophysiology product interactions among various proinflammatory antiinflammatory cytokines as well other players such matrix metalloproteinases. Interferon-gamma beta-interferons are heavily involved inflammatory cascade MS. In this study, potential molecular mechanisms IFNβ IFNγ MS, their antithetical effects, possible controversial roles treatment will be described.
