摘要: Abstract The fluid velocity field in the rotating electrolyser has been computed for a variety of conditions. It is shown that there strong coupling between orthogonal components, volumetric flowrate and angular velocity. Reversing radial tangential flows are predicted, particularly entry region, which agrees with laser-Doppler measurements previously reported. Outside region (r/a⪆25) good agreement experimental theoretical profiles, approach predictions first order theory within 15% reasonable flowrates, making design studies simple.
