摘要: This paper presents a very useful and yet simple method of improving the radiation-pattern distortion patch antenna having finite ground plane. The improvement can be achieved by cutting out edges produces phase shift between induced equivalent magnetic currents on edges, thereby causing cancellation in diffracted fields. We numerically experimentally examined effects for some typical antennas confirmed that ripples copolar E plane pattern could eliminated using this approach.
