摘要: In patients with bipolar disorder, the serotonin transporter gene polymorphism (5-HTTLPR) is associated effectiveness of lithium prophylaxis and affective instability in response to environmental stress. This cross-sectional study investigated whether symptomatology at baseline for a treatment consistent diathesis-stress model. Forty -two participants disorder completed battery measures assessing demographic information, life stress, symptoms disorder. Participants underwent phlebotomy procedures genotyping. MANOVA tests showed significant main effect event severity (Wilk's [Lambda] = .714, F [4,31] 2.20, p =.029). presence severe scored significantly higher depressive were deemed more ill by clinicians. There was omnibus 3-way interaction between events, 5- HTTLPR, status .367, [4, 33] 3.020, =.031).
