摘要: Nearly a decade ago, different chronology than the conventional absolute for early Iron Age in Israel was suggested. The new, lower transfers Age I and IIA contexts in Israel, traditionally dated to 11th 10th centuries BCE, 9th centuries, respectively. Thus, it places I|IIA transition at about 920900 BCE. This alternative carries important implications Israelite history, historiography, and Bible research, as well chronologies of other regions around Mediterranean. Relevant radiocarbon data sets published to date, which were measured at sites by laboratories, claimed be incompatible. Therefore, the question agreement between laboratories dating methods needs addressed outset any study attempting to resolve such tight chronological dilemma. paper addresses results pertaining this issue part comprehensive attempt date based on many sites, employing measuring techniques 2 laboratories. intercomparison demonstrate that: a) 2 is within the standard 14C community that no bias can detected either laboratory; b) calculating I|IIa transition in 3 ways (twice independently measurements obtained labs then combining dates both) indicates preferable one.
